The Five College Clothesline Project will be on exhibit in the Blanchard Student Art Gallery from October 21, 2013 through October 25, 2013. The Clothesline Project symbolizes a lifeline, which joins survivors of assault, relationship violence, rape and incest to feel empowered and supported by one another. T-shirts made by students at Mount Holyoke College, Amherst College, Hampshire College, Smith College and the University of Mass/Amherst will be displayed. We welcome survivors of all genders to create a T-shirt for the display. We feel it is important to acknowledge the degree to which silence has been ongoing for women, men, transgender and intersex people and for anyone whose gender does not fit into the box.
